BECAUSE THE BEGINNING MATTERS, AND EVERY FAMILY BELONGS.

Normalizing Autism Parenting, Especially in The Early Years, Because The Beginning Matters. Better Late Than Never.

The Side by Side Program at Angels Society is a unique, family-centered experience where children and parents participate together in a supportive and engaging environment.
During each session, families explore thoughtfully designed sensory and movement programs that help children better understand their bodies, develop motor skills, and expand their sensory awareness through play-based activities. At the same time, parents are actively guided throughout the process, learning practical strategies they can confidently continue at home.
Our goal is to empower parents with effective, easy-to-apply sensory and movement techniques, enabling them to support their child’s development beyond the program and into everyday life.
In addition to movement-based activities, sessions also include arts and crafts experiences for children who enjoy creative, hands-on expression, supporting fine motor skills, imagination, and sensory engagement.

Personalized Support Through Play

Each session is guided by Fia, a specialist in motor learning, who works closely with every child and family.

Fia moves throughout the space, carefully observing each child and designing individualized sensory and movement activities tailored to their unique needs. These activities are delivered through playful, engaging, and joyful experiences that naturally encourage participation and growth.

Parents are not just observers, they are active participants. Together with Fia, they learn how to guide their child through these activities, gaining a deeper understanding of how to support:

  • Motor skill development
  • Sensory regulation
  • Confidence and engagement through play

This collaborative approach ensures that every child receives personalized support, while parents leave each session with practical tools, confidence, and clarity.

Rooted in compassion and guided by evidence-informed practice, Angels Society offers experiences that strengthen family bonds, nurture resilience, and foster a deep sense of belonging. Here, every child is seen, every family matters, and no one walks alone.

Our Story

Angels Society was founded by Joey and Fia, brought together by a shared belief that love, care, and genuine attention offered through small, intentional bording steps can create meaningful and lasting impact.

Joey’s journey as a parent of a child on the autism spectrum, her beloved son who passed away earlier this year, shaped a deep conviction that families need spaces where they can connect with joy, presence, and support. Her experience highlights the importance of nurturing strong parent-child bonds and ensuring families are not only supported through challenges, but empowered to thrive together.

Fia’s vision is rooted in humanitarian values, inclusion, and the equal worth of every human being. A neurodivergent movement specialist with extensive experience supporting people with autism, she combines lived experience with evidence-informed practice to shape Angels Society into a nurturing community offering inclusive programs grounded in motor learning, neuroscience, and sensory awareness.

Together, they share a commitment to building an inclusive and welcoming community, one that supports children, parents, and caregivers through connection, movement, play, and thoughtful design, so families know they matter, are not alone, and truly belong.

Our Vision

A community where every child and family are seen, valued, and supported to grow, connect, and thrive together.

Our Mission

To support children, parents, and caregivers through joyful, inclusive, and shared evidence-based experiences that strengthen family bonds and foster belonging.

Our Inspiration

Every child with special needs is an angel who enters our lives with purpose. They may be our child, our friend, or someone who quietly walks beside us. Through them, we learn how to grow, how to love, and how to meet life with patience, strength, and hope. They guide us toward a deeper, more human way of living and help us discover the best within ourselves. Angels Society exists so these angels can come together, grow together, and share joy, meaning, and belonging side by side.
